Marvel’s Inhumans Pulled From Release Schedule

Last year, Marvel unveiled their film lineup for Phase 3.0. One of the films in that lineup was for an Inhumans movie which was orginially slated for 2018. It was later pushed back to 2019 and now it appears to have no set release date whatsoever.

Marvel’s Inhumans has been pulled from Disney’s release schedule indefinitely.

Since the original announcement for the Inhumans movie in 2014, the Phase 3.0 release schedule has been filled in with Spider-Man: Homecoming (July, 2017), Ant-Man and the Wasp (July, 2018), and Indiana Jones 5 (2019) even though that movie is from their parent company Disney.

“Since we made our initial Phase 3.0 announcement, we added Spider-Man, which was a big joyous coup for us,”Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said. “We added Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was a big fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an Indiana Jones film for right around that same time.”

When asked if the Inhumans film would be ditched altogether, Feige responded with, “No. It’s a question of when.”

The film is still in development but will most likely appear in theaters in either 2020 or sometime afterwards as part of Marvel’s Phase 4.0 lineup. While the Inhumans have already appeared and made their presence known in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, they haven’t made quiet the same impact in the films just yet. It is unknown if this delay will have any affect on the show yet.
