Earlier this week, Warner Bros pushed The Jungle Book: Origins out of its original October 6, 2017 release date to October 19, 2018. After this, Warner Bros added three new movies to their film schedule which included two untitled DC Comics movies and a third untitled “event movie” slated for the newly vacant October 6, 2017 slot, but no details were given for the project that was replacing The Jungle Book: Origins.

According to Heroic Hollywood, that untitled event film may actually be the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot which may be titled The Tomb Raider since Warner Bros recently registered the domain name

The Tomb Raider movies are based on the action adventure video game series of the same name, created by Eidos Interactive and now owned by Square Enix. The original films starred Angelina Jolie as the adventuring archaeologist Lara Croft. The upcoming Tomb Raider movie reboot directed by Roar Uthaug, is said to take inspiration from the recent reboot of the game franchise, which now focuses on a younger Lara Croft during some of her earliest adventures.

Warner Bros has not commented on this rumored release date yet, but if this October 6, 2017 release date is confirmed, then production on the movie would likely have to begin later this year or in early 2017 at the latest.
