The Sides for the Civil War Have Been Revealed

Marvel has been pretty tight-lipped when it came to which Avengers would be siding with Captain America and which will be with Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War. Well the secret is out and we now know who’s on whose side thanks to some newly released concept art.

Be warned for there are major spoilers ahead.

So far it looks like Cap’s team will include Hawkeye, Falcon, Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, and Sharon Carter, aka Agent 13 while Iron Man’s side will include War Machine, Vision, Black Panther (making his MCU debut), and Black Widow.

Notably absent in these images are Scarlet Witch, Bruce Banner (who’s rumoured to be involved in the project) and Spider-Man. If any of these three do appear in this film, it is unknown whose side they will join in this hopefully epic battle of heroes.

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Captain America: Civil War just wrapped up filming in Germany last week and is currently scheduled for a May 6, 2016 release date.
